Fixers

Note: Prolonged fixing with any fixer may bleach image.

F-24 non-hardening

Water @ 50ºC 600 ml
Sodium Thiosulphate crystals 240 g
Sodium Sulphite anhyd 10 g
Sodium Metabisulphite 25 g
Water to 1 litre

F-5 Acid hardening

Water @ 50ºC 600 ml
Sodium Thiosulphate crystals 240 g
Sodium Sulphite anhydrous 15 g
Acetic Acid (80%) 17 ml
Boric acid crystals7.5 g
Water to 1 litre


F-7 Rapid Acid hardening

Water @ 50ºC 600 ml
Sodium Thiosulphate crystals360 g
Ammonium chloride 50 g
Sodium Sulphite anhydrous 15 g
Acetic Acid (80%) 17 ml
Boric acid crystals 7.5 g
Potassium Alum 15 g
Water to 1 litre

Alkaline fixer

Water (hot) 600 ml
Sodium thiosulphate anhydrous 60 g
- OR - crystal 102 g

Sodium carbonate anhydrous 3 g
Water to 1 litre

Fix prints for 5-10 mins. Fixer has low capacity and must be replaced regularly.
